AT A GLANCE
People with painful, unresolved pasts are seldom aware of the impact their past is having on their present-day experience, their function and their health. We can rationalize that a uniquely traumatic and painful situation from our past “is not an issue.” However, when we pay more attention to, and tune into our heart, we may become aware of a sense of burden and pressure. It’s often very subtle and gone unnoticed or ignored, sometimes for years. The same is true for concerns which are impacting us more recently.
We can share unequivocally that if we are able to sense even subtle pressure, restriction, discomfort, or burden in the area of our heart, there is mental-emotional distress present and issues to address. When we are able to address and resolve these issues, it allows us to feel and function at new levels, adding more life to our years and very likely, more years to our life.

HEALTH SCENE INVESTIGATION
- Do you have any burdens of your heart?
- Are there events from your past, or going on presently, that are weighing on your heart? Can you feel a sense of pressure or restriction in the area of your heart when you think of those events?
- Might there be approaches that could lead you to process those events and memories in ways that shift how you think and feel about them? That lead you to new understandings, allowing you to reflect on and process them differently?
HYPOTHESIS
Events we associate strong distressing emotions to, can stay with us for a lifetime. There are ways of reflecting on these events and re-evaluating them, that enable us to interpret and internalize them differently, in ways that lead us to be better, wiser, and more compassionate, and re-experience them in ways that empower us and clarify our purpose. The guidance within this Lab comes directly from our exploration of tools and processes to assist in processing emotional distress more effectively and releasing burdens from our hearts. The process is straightforward, and the results are frequently profound. The approach and related skills they lead you to will stay with you throughout your life.
