AT A GLANCE

Our intention in this Lab is to expand our members’ understanding of the vital and dynamic relationships between all living organisms and our global ecosystem, which sustains us all. In doing so, we hope to inform and balance your perspectives, replacing many fears with more positive intent and practical action steps.

We demonstrate that many popular conceptions of the organisms we share our planet with are ill-founded and misrepresent the nature of important relationships. Relationships that are critical to our function, health, and natural immune system. For most, the information within this Lab will be novel, uniquely informative and likely to inspire a strong sense of awe around the creative intelligence we are an integral part of.
HEALTH SCENE INVESTIGATION
  • How extensive is your knowledge of the trillions of microorganisms in, on and surrounding you?
  • Do you have a deep appreciation for the dynamic interrelationships and synergies which exist between them and their importance to your health?
  • Do you actively support and seek to preserve the natural balance in these communities of microorganisms, or microbiomes?
  • Do you understand their role in training and maintaining your adaptive immune system and natural defenses against serious and allergic reactions? Awareness of these roles and relationships has never been more important and relevant than on the heels of our recent pandemic and the mass attempts to sterilize the world around us.
HYPOTHESIS

Ignorance is rarely bliss. This is especially true regarding your understanding of the role of the natural microcosms and microbiomes which surround you. In fact, ignorance in this area can result in serious adverse health consequences and more knowledge can free you from many forms of distress and future illness.

We are much more than an independent colony of cells, organized into tissues and organ systems. We are a dynamic collaboration of hundreds of colonies of various cells and microorganisms, living in commensal and synergistic relationships. Being cognizant of the importance of diverse, natural microcosms and ecosystems will lead you to worry less and engage more health promoting encounters with your natural world. The benefits you will derive as a result will likely be subtle, yet may well prove lifesaving throughout your life.
